This Thursday, we will still be a week and a half away from spring, but the weather should be good enough for you to plan to go out for the West Seattle Art Walk!
This is Rob Roy Chalmers at Fogue Gallery (4130 California SW; WSB sponsor), where you can meet him at his Art Walk reception, 5-8 p.m. Fogue notes that his work has been shown all over the world – from Tokyo to Berlin to Boston and beyond. The gallery says he “brings dark implications hidden in whimsical and colorful images that are free-flowing, sexy, dirty, messy and always joyful. Charcoal, pastel and pencil on Rives BFK paper, custom mounted and framed. Other artists from the Fogue Gallery will also be present – you are invited to “sip champagne and enjoy the arrival of spring!”
Here’s the list of venues for this month’s Art Walk – some with artists, some with special food and drink:
Sites are spread across the peninsula from North Admiral to South Delridge. In this last, Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery (9441 Delridge Way SW) offers KAPOW!, “an artistic homage to comics”. In The Junction, Jet City Laboratories (4546 California SW) is again featuring the clay cauldron collaborative pop-up. These are just two of many. the official preview page for this month is still being updated, so check back before you go exploring on Thursday evenings – times vary by location.
