The restaurant waived the food portion of the bill, leaving customers — the Cleveland Heights women, 36 and 19 — to pay $7.90 for their drinks. The women then refused to pay for their drinks.

The women, when the officers arrived, paid for their drinks. The police issued trespassing warnings for the women.

In an unrelated incident that took place at 10:40 p.m. on May 21, police were called to the Cheesecake Factory after a restaurant left without paying its bill.
